ROTARY DRUM MOWER
Rotary drum mower is connected to tractor by 3-point linkage system and mowes by rotating horizontally.
Followings are existing on the Machine: 3-points linkage system, Belt-Pulley system, 2 mowing tambours, 3 blades in each tambour which totally makes 6, driving shaft, lifting arms attached to 3-points linkage and lifting frame. Machine is designed as two separate frames. First frame includes gear box and drums. Gear box is connected to first frame by 2 sliding guides. A bearing pulley drives the gear. 2 adjustable frames are connected to each other as well to 3-points linkage system.
Machine is upper driven type. Driving is transmitted to 3 channelled belt-pulley system from tractor PTO by a joint shaft and then to gear box, and from gear box to drum shafts and mowing discs by bevel gears. PTO speed is raised to belt-pulley system in the first step and then raised to bevel gears in the second step.
Gear box is oil bath type. Leakage is prevented by gasket. There are three pairs of bevel gears in the gear box which one pair used to change direction of motion transmitted from belt-pulley system and two pairs used to drive mowing discs. Driving to bevel gears of second drum shaft is obtained by a bearing shaft. In the housing of intermediary shaft there are 2 bearings at center and one at the beginning. Mowing discs are rotating inversely due to bevel gears on intermediary shaft transmit rotation to drum shaft gears inversely. Thus, a longitudinal heap of grass is available on the ground.
Each mowing disc contains three cutting blades with spring. Both edges of blades can cut. Thus, if one edge worns other edge can be used as the discs are rotating inversely. Cutting blades can be replaced by a special spanner without dismantling the disc.
Operating safety of the mower is provided by safety system with spring thrust. Besides, there is a safety spring cutch on main shaft of the mower.
The mower is also available in model with piston. Pistons driven by hydraulic power allow the mower to operate in slopes. A protective system from canvas can be mounted to drum mower in case of need.
